How can I get my dog to go in heat for breeding now?

I am wanting to breed my plott now but she is not in heat how can I get her to go into heat in the next week or so I found a great bloodline for her to breed with but I need her to go in heat soon thanks lori

Answer #1

okay you can not theres no way for you to make your dog come in to heat!.

Answer #2

“Great bloodlines” have a long history, so I’m sure this bloodline will still be around when your dog goes into heat naturally. If she’s old enough to breed (18 to 24 months), then you also know when she will be in heat again.

I get a feeling you know nothing about breeding, whelping, and raising pups…and wouldn’t know a “great bloodline” if it sat in your lap.

Sounds to me like you have No Experience breeding dogs, because if you did, you would know that you cannot make a dog come into heat. Do you have any idea how many innocent dogs are in Shelters, get Euthanized daily, because there are not enough homes to go around and adopt them all. It’s really very sad, when on the day that these dogs are to be Euthanized, they take them out of their cages, the dog is wagging it’s tail and happy, thinking “I’m getting out of this place and going to a new home”! Not the case! Instead they are taken into a room, where they know that something is not right, they suddenly become very scared and they are Euthanized. Go to Google and type in “How do they Euthanize Dogs in Shelters” and there are lots of videos, that show how they put a dog down. Don’t add to the overpopulation problem and allow more dogs to die. It’s already bad enough! Not knowing what you are doing and breeding your dog, would be putting your females life at risk. Are you willing to take the risk of your dog dying? You don’t know what you are doing! Do yourself and your dog a big favor and get your dog Spayed. Leave the breeding to the professionals, who know what they are doing and who are breeding for the right reasons. Your female will be happier and healthier in the long run!

Answer #4

lol, phrannie. exactly. We don’t need more uneducated ‘breeders’.

Answer #5

You can’t get you dog to be in heat…occurs naturally…Dogs generally have their first estrous cycle at 6-12 months of age. Large breeds may not have their first estrus until they are 12-24 months of age.

Answer #6

Sigh…sigh…sigh… Great another uneducated breeder to be. Please, do not breed your dog. Instead have her spayed. We have enough unwanted dogs. We kill millions each year.
