Answer #1

Be creative…Make a deal with him…If he will go to a church service with you…you will go …hiking? fishing? on a drive to a favorite place of his? Trade off with him…

Answer #2

‘Whats wrong with her calling her dad ‘’daddy’’ at any age? Seriously, her dad probably still think shes his little girl. Since when does age come into play when deciding what to call your dad? You need a good enough reason to be saying that its a big ‘’concern’’ for her not be calling her dad ‘’daddy’’. I agree with jimahl to say the least.’

Wow… seriously, get a sense of humour would you!!! It was a J-O-K-E. Joke.

Answer #3

tell him that your afraid for him and that you love him and if he goes once you be not so afraid for him but he should go more for you

Answer #4

Nevermind, sorry for any offense.

Answer #5

Do you really think it’s reasonable for a god to send you dad to hell for not going to church with you? If you think that’s arbitrary and cruel and that no real god would do that, which it is, then maybe you should be the one considering changing your church habits.

Answer #6

Do you really think your god is so cruel that he would send your father to hell simply for not going to church? Why would anyone want to believe in such a vindictive god?

Answer #7

My advice for you, is to just talk to him about it, You can’t make him, but you can def. Talk to him. If he doesn’t want to still, its ok, But just know you did a good thing by asking. It also means you def dont stop going just because he didnt want to. Good luck, and may God be with you. :]

I think everyone has their way to pray or to practice religions… For this reason we cannot know if he will die unsaved and go to hell ;) Church may important, yes, but in my opinion FAITH is the most important…

Answer #9

Ask him to go with you, if he doesn’t want to respect his wishes. Everyone has a CHOICE regarding religion. What he does and how he practices his is his choice.

Answer #10

‘’I think that a bigger concern is that you still call him Daddy at your age.’’

Answer #11

It be such a burden to think that many of your friends and family members will go to Hell unless you can convince them that your particular religion is the one true one. Their eternal fate rests on your shoulders.

I’m so grateful that I don’t follow a religion that tells me if I fail to save my friends that my loving God will torture them for eternity.

Answer #12

Why do you assume he will go to hell for not going to church? In fact, why do you believe in such a finite concept as the mainstream Christian heaven and hell? Do you honestly think our Father sent us down here so the majority of us could just be condemned to hell? A Father who is supposed to love us more than we can ourselves?

Now granted, I believe in hell, I just don’t think that everyone who hasn’t heard of Christ and not been “saved” is going there.

Answer #13

His relationship with Christ is personal, and is only between him and Christ. You can be a light for him and encourage him in the Lord, but thats all you can do. Also, the bible says that anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Don’t fret over this, he’s reading the so its obviously important to him and He is in God’s hands :) God’s got him covered.

Answer #14

I think that a bigger concern is that you still call him “Daddy” at your age.

Answer #15

Pray for him

Answer #16

YOU can’t do anything but you can pray and ask God for him to have a change of heart, meanwhile work on your relationship with the Lord and watch your own tong. People who are under Gods presents have this certain glow about them that makes people want to be around them. Pray the Lord opens his eyes. After all he created him.

Answer #17

From what you said he does go to church and read the bible. But he has not been baptized?

There is nothing you can do to make him, you have to realize that. You also cannot assume that he does not have a relationship with God. He has one if he is doing what you say. Everyone’s relationship with their God is a uniquely personal thing. It is not something that can happen just because you do what the preacher says and it does not make a difference if a human dunks you in water or not. If you have God in your heart then you have him in your life.

Too many churches and preachers/priests tell us that their way is the only way. Of course they do because if they didn’t we would not have a use for them in society. But it simply is not true.

Remember your Bible stories. The thief on the cross beside Jesus was not baptized as he died alongside Jesus. He merely asked to be forgiven. For anyone to tell you or anyone else that there is only one way to be close to God is ridiculous. God is the Father and loves us all despite our flaws. Despite our sins.

Having conversations with your Dad about God and religion is a good idea but just be sure you aren’t making the mistake most Christians do this day and age by trying to force your personal beliefs onto him. Look at it as more of a way to seek deeper understanding, accept it as a chance to find your own personal relationship with God and examine it. Examining it does not mean losing faith or doubting but rather it means you are using that brain that God gave us to better your own understanding.

You’re right, being Christian isn’t just going to church or reading the Bible. It’s much deeper than that. It’s also more than just taking what you are told is right and accepting it blindly. Jesus never pushed himself on others, he presented the option and accepted everyone, not just his devout followers. Follow in his footsteps.
