How can I convince my mammy to let me get my lip pierced?

I’ve wanted my lip pierced since the 6th grade. I’m now in 8th grade. She said maybe when I’m 16 and I’m turning 14 in December. I think she expects me to “grow out of” wanting my lip pierced but I highly doubt I will. I have made it clear that I do not wan’t one because such and such has one and its just a fase..I REALY wan’t one!!! Do you know how I could convince her or get like a year knocked off from how long til I can get one?!? Not trying to brag, but I don’t usualy get in trouble and when I do its for little things, I say yes mam no mam and so on, oh ya I’m an only child maybe I could use that I don’t know…So I doubt it’s because of my actions and I also keep my grades up..Any ideas because I’m out?!!??

my mom took me to get mine when I was 16, she was cool about it. but I would wait if I were you just to be on the safe side. You can never get rid of the hole if you regrets it later on. But it’s awsome you’ll love it

Haha thanks..stubborn parents!!!lol it doesn’t bother me to the point I get really pissed but Im sure not going to give up! I geuss I’ll keep working at them

I had the same “dilemma” before (when I was still in Highschool.. but not on the lips.. just 3 piercings on my right earlobe.).. like you, I kept my grades up and remained responsible. but they still wont allow me :( I also told them that I dont understand why they wont allow me, I reasoned out that it’s my body and I have every right to do what I want with it. obviously, that didnt work. haha

anyways, I got over it. considering you won’t, I guess your best bet is to ask them the reason for not allowing you and reflect on that.
