How can I connect my NES to my TV?

Alright, so I just bought an old NES, and when I connect it to my TV I don’t get any sound, it’s not the Nintendo, because I exchanged it for another one, so it must be something to do with my TV. All I really know about it is that it’s brand is Soyo. Another problem I was having with it is that I can’t use my N64 with it, I plugged everything in correctly, but it doesn’t seem to recognize it, it just stays with a blue screen. If anyone can offer me any help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: The model code is Soyo SYGWT2697NB if that helps.

Soyo, being a generic Korean (by the sound of it) brand probably wasn’t a good choice to begin with but ill try to help anyway. Im assuming that the NES has AV plugs or the real old school TV antennae plug so make sure all these are plugged in properly (red wire in red plug, white in white, yellow in yellow, Antenna plug to antenna socket) and that the nes connection in the back of the console is in and connecting by wiggling it around. That done check all the channels AV/AV2 and you may have to do a normal channel search because it is such an old analogue plug. If not your NES/AV plugs/antenna socket/ NES video input is still not working is is most probably broken. Thats all I can think of at the moment hope it help’s.
