Hospital efficiency, throats and fevers?

How common is it for people to die from a fever these days if you are in the hospital? and if your throat swells shut from something thats not an allergy they can put some type of tube in your throat to help you breathe right?

Answer #1

The problem with your throat swelling shut is that it’s swollen shut… It’s hard to put a breathing tube in- so they would TRY to, but whether or not they’d be successful quick enough is not certain. I don’t know the actual stats, but I don’t think many people really die from FEVER anymore- if it’s bad enough you get in the cold tub (which SUCKS, if you’ve never been in one…). If they die, it’s probably because of the infection or whatever the other problem was. Fever is almost always a symptom, not the problem itself.

Why do I get the hunch that your refering to hospital malpractice?

I really don’t know if that’s whats on your mind but I suggest you try to be as discrete as possible and find out the truth when you have enough evidence weigh your gains and losses if you were to sue a hospital.AND I MEAN EVERY SINGLE DETAIL…talk to a lawyer also.

Well with the recent outbreak of swine flu, there was quite a few people that died from fever, but because of things like meningitis, that was mistakenly taken up to be swine flu.

Other than that, in your first world countries it doesn’t happen often, very rarely in fact.
