if you had ever had it- the answer would be clear, the best part of it is that it is HOMEMADE, to me homemade is vastly superior to anything made in a factory. you are in control of everything that goes into your batch of ice cream, you are the boss. plus there is the aspect of actually putting some work into what you are eating, things just tend to be better to me after I have put work into it. when someone asks what you put in your ice cream you will actually be able to pronounce the ingredients. I am assuming of course that they don’t sell- sodium citrate, potassium sorbate, guar gum, mono and diglycerides, polysorbate 80, and carrageenan at most supermarkets. ( as separate ingredients, I realize it will be in most products). back in the day, it truly was a rare treat- and it did take a lot of work to put a batch together. milk the cow, pick the berries, mix everything together, crank the freezer, etc. I highly recommend that you give homemade a try.

MMM ice cream… delicious… homemade stuff almost always tastes better, like cookies, pies, lasagna… Its like asking whither a mommy will like a Valentine’s day card that her 5yo bought more than she would a homemade one. Personally, I would prefer the latter.
