Trust me, life is a jungle out there especially if you don’t have a lot of money and a proper education with a degree. Want to test it out go out from 8 pm and try to come back at 7 am to see and test how people are going to treat you in the “ real world “ and how its going to be.. make sure you don’t take anything..no cell phone nothing..because without a job you won’t even be able to operate a cell phone without paying the bills..so tell me how it goes.. and why do you want to leave so badly?

no ur not ready! do u have a lisence? a car? a job? have u finished school? how will u go to school and work full time…im 19, graduated and i work a full time job at a car dealership and still cant afford to live on my own…ur 16 so u would prolly work at a restaurant or fast food place and u think that would support u? theres car payment, car insurance, gas, rent for whereever u stay, gas bill, electric bill, utilities, city utilities, doctors and denist bills…even if u have health insurance u gotta pay on that! food, clothes…u think u cann afford all that working a teenage job? no! and if ur in school they will only let u work a certain amt. of hrs…plus to move out of ur parents home u would need to be emancipated.

Ask yourself:

  • am I of legal age to move out (‘age of majority’ - usually 18, each state different) or do I need an Emancipation order from the Court

  • do I have an education (without one, you’re going nowhere)

  • do I have enough money to be on my own (deposits/rent/bills/activation fees/food/basic needs/insurance/utilities/doctor/dentist/life-health insurance/clothes/phone) a teenage job full-time comes nowhere close to covering these

  • do I have a source of income

  • do I have a commitment (RIng and a date - or being used) - if there’s another person involved, am I settling or saying to myself ‘I can change him/her’ (you can’t)

  • do I have transportation

  • can I afford car payments/car insurance/gas for the car

  • if I do this am I destroying Family ties - do I care if they are totally devastated, disappointed, hurt, and their dreams for you are smashed - am I only thinking of ‘me’ and being ungrateful

  • this is a life ‘choice’ - is this a smart ‘choice’ for my life - either way I choose, what are the consequences

  • would I say I am of good character

Please make smart choices in your life - you will have to live with them - I wish you the best !!
