hes shaking!

I just got a kitten and hes really warm right now and he isnt as playful he shakes and his nose isnt wet I am freaking out is there something I can do before I have to run to the vet? money is tight!

Answer #1

First of all, he’s going to feel warmer to you because his normal temp runs 101 to 102…a “fever” in a human…

Second a wet or dry nose, means nothing…

I don’t know how old this kitten is…if it’s 6 weeks or younger, the shaking could easily be fear (as well as the fact that he doesn’t want to play)…How is his appetite? How is his poop? Are his eyes clear or goobers? His nose must be clear of mucous or it wouldn’t be dry…

Since you just got this baby, give him a secure place to sleep, and let him rest for the night…he’ll probably be fine in the morning, as long as he doesn’t have diarreah, and he’s eating…

Answer #2

I’d go get a thermometer before freaking out, make sure you lube it before use, see what temperature is like. If it’s normal, I wouldnt worry about it.

Answer #3

maybe hes having a seizure… go and ask your vet caus he might just b nervous and shy…
