WHY is my baby hamster is not eating seeds yet hes 18 days old why?

he is real tiny and I am feeding him KMR every hour but he wont eat seed like his brothers and sisters why pluse he’s 18 days old.

Well, I’ve had baby birds and baby hamsters before and they didn’t eat the regular food for like a week, So I had to just keep feeding them formula for about a week. I was feeding them the formula from my hand, So then I mixed some of the formula with the seeds and they didn’t even know and they just started eating the seeds too. And each time I fed them, I kept putting less and less formula with the seeds, I kept doing that until I put NO formula, And JUST the seeds and they ate the seeds. So, Then I stopped feeding them with my hand and I just put the food in the little trays in they’re cage, And they ate them like that. Maybe, You should try that too. Hope I Helped! -Dogluver.

Thanl you, In this case I am so worried because he is the runt and is so small that his brothers and sisters legs are the size of his haed his name is Simon and I still worry about him because he’s 3 days away from weening.

he needs to grow a little more I have 1 and mine did the same..
