My parents keep putting me down

My parents are constantly putting me down , no matter what I do it doesnt seem to please them. They have always told me I am never going to get anywhere in life that I shouldnt even try. They are constantly saying I am stupid and worthless and they wish I was never born. I make good grades I do everything in my power to make them happy but it never works. What can I do to make them proud of me ?

Hey, my parents are the same way kid. I just don’t even try to make them happy anymore. I really dont think theres anything to do for parents like ours. Now, I just stay in my room when I’m in the house but I get out as much as I can to get away from all of their “Opinions.” I say. don’t stress over it and don’t worry about what they say to you. I’d like to think that someday, they will realize the error of their ways and they will regret all the things they did and said to you.

Tell them they should see the good in you and stop focusing on the bad things. It;s hard to do but if you cant please them, just please urself

YOur parents are dumb dont listen to them and latter on in life they will see that you will make somthing out of your life!

Simply do not hear that when your parents are telling this. They want to say something different, but they can’t. It is pity, but not so terrible as you think/feel of it. Focus on you life, studies, etc, and in few month you may flowering. You are 16 now, so you may wait that 1 or 2 years when you will be free to express your character and personality. I am sure they will fall back by the astonishment.
