Help, I have troublesome friends who I dont' fit in with!

I have 2 friends who I used to hang out with in the street and go places etc with. But now, this evening I went outside with them and they started swearing and chucking a football at passing cars. They NEVER used to do this but now I don’t even want to know them anymore. I’m pretty much the opposite, so I stay out of trouble and never cause any disturbance, and they used to be like that too.

I decided to go in, because I didn’t want to get into any trouble, and they kept persuading me to stay out and join in. But I do not want to be affected by peer pressure, so I told them I’ll just put a jumper on, and now staying in.

I don’t want to lose friends but I only have a handful of friends who behave how they should do, and they live a mile away at least. And I don’t want to go hangin out on the streets and coming back from their house at like midnight, like my brother. I don’t want to lose them as a friend, seeing as we were all great mates.

HELP!!

Answer #1

Obviously they’ve run into some negative influences - probably different friends - make it clear to them you want no part of those type actions/conduct/trouble seeking - not acceptable - around you, behave themselves.

Answer #2

you do tha talking…suggest a place to go,hangout,I mean if they have so much time shouting a cars,im sure they have time to go bowling etc…hope it helps:)

Answer #3

Tell them exactly how you feel. Like what you just said. Or get them to read this or something. If they decide to drop you as a friend cause you want to do the right thing then they aren’t really your friend.
