Stop my dogs from barking at the back gate all the time?

How can I stop my dogs from barking at the back gate all the time??

They do it 24-7 day and night

You may not want to stop your dogs from barking, maybe 24/7, yeah I agree, pretty annoying, but is there a lot of activity or do they have a reason they are barking?Maybe distract them or train them. Call an animal shelter and see if you can get some free good advice.

A tin can with bolts in it…(or a pop can with pennies)…throw it at them (it won’t hurt them)…but they hate the noise…you have to do it a lot at first, until finally just picking it up and rattling it will do the trick.

Or, you could bring them inside…I’m sure your neighbors could use the break,

Mouse traps work too. It is the snap noise that gets them. But if you take your dogs to Obedience Classes and start working with them to obey your commands they will stop when you command them.

My Boxers still bark at the fence, it is their nature to guard their territory, but when I tell them to stop they do. I may have to yell it but all I have to do it yell their names and they stop whatever they are doing and come to me. This is what your dogs should always do. This can also be a life or death command.

Never call your dog when they have crossed a street without first checking for traffic. I did this once not thinking while chatting with a neighbor and almost got my dog hit. But this command has also saved my dogs in the same sense. If I had been paying attention and noticed she was going towards the street and called her before she crossed could have been life saving.

Work with your dogs and they will learn, dogs love to learn with treats and attention.
