How can I teach my dog to stop barking?

Why exactly does he bark? My dog used to bark to get my attention and as soon as I stopped giving her attention when she barked, she stopped. Maybe you should try giving him a HUGE amount of attention when he is quiet and ignore him TOTALLY when he barks?

I don’t agree with tapping dogs on their noses, that way he’ll probably just run away while barking.lol.

try tapping him on his nose whenever you scold him. it’s sensitive for them so they usually don’t like that…my dog hated it lol

grab his mouth and hold it look him in the eye and tell him no (ps the dog trainers use it it works)

lol I hug my dog when she barks and she eventually stops, but tapping yourr dog on the nose should work :]

I have been having a problem with my neighbors lately and it seems like they are letting their dogs bark on purpose. I thought that there was nothing that I could do since they were not my dogs but apparently I was wrong.
