my cat leaves her kittens but is feeding is this normal?

My cats is quite young and to my surprise she has taken motherhood really well, but she keeps getting up I have been making sure she’s got water, food and paying her attention etc, she wont let me touch her kittens (which are 4 days old and quite big) which is fine cus it mother instinct and I’m pregnant atm. She has been leaving them and sometime for a lil while sleeps next to them instead of in the box with them. she has been feeding them and keeping them warm and basically doing what she’s meant to just wondered if its normal. Also when can I get them and her done so no more kittens arrive.

Answer #1

its normal my kitten leaves her babies too but when you try to pick her up she runs back to them

Answer #2

It’s normal…all moms need a break once in awhile.

You can get her fixed when she’s done nursing.
