heaven..should I want to go

I dont believe in saint peter and the pearly gates, if there is a heaven I wish it could be whatever you want it to be, I for one would love to spend eternity in the happiest moments of my life, like a quiet night with the girl I love. that would be my heaven.

As an athiest myself, I dont believe in heaven or hell, but if people want to believe in heaven then sure go for it. If you want to go to heaven, then I guess your not atheist… but thats just my thought

Well…if there is one, I doubt it’s going to be anything like “life on earth”…having “fun” is an earthly hankering…

You can’t know happiness and joy without sadness and pain.

A world with no sadness and no pain, would also be a world with no happiness or job. Heaven would be like a black hole, no emotions, nothing.

I like pain…and tears help, some times I like being sad. plus I still wont get to do some fun stuff that I would normally do…plus I wouldnt be able to listen to any of my music..

Yes you should want to go you just have to beleive in him and he loves you and if you make a mistake just pray and ask for forgiveness and he will forgive you and yes you should want to go!!!

You should not be afraid of going to Heaven cause up there is a better place then the other way around! God is always going to make the right choice for you if you are bad you go to the other place if you are good he will take you to him!!!

I don’t have a spirit to get trapped. You can’t tell someone that your relgion is the “right” one and that they are going to go to the Christian version of heaven and hell, when there are millions of different relgions.

Have some respect and realize that your way, might not be the “only” way.

Well that’s a good question. I don’t believe in heaven or God either I think we are reincarnated.

If there was a heaven and the christians are right. It would beat the alternative. But given the fact your suppose to worship a tyrannical God than if I could I rather stay on earth. Or blink out of existence.

Lol, toadaly has a point there. Back then Heaven was just anoter term for sky not some paradise. Really the bible doesn’t say anything about heaven being a place, it just says Jesus went into heaven(the sky) & such. Man shall in habit paradise, paradise being the earth when all sinners are throan into the abyss(eternal damnation & torture) on judgment day. So take the wise toad’s advice 1_~

Which heaven? Christians disagree with each other on what heaven is supposed to be, which makes it hard to sell to people who don’t believe it exists in the first place.

There are lots of references to heaven in the Bible and other Christian writings throughout history. When you read them it’s obvious that none of the authors really know what they’re talking about.

I believe I’ld much rather stay bound to earth than go to a biblical paradise. If I wind up in hell Well hey, I’m an adrenalin junky so I shall I’m also some what of a sadamist(didn’t spell that right, don’t care it’s 1 in the morn) & masochist, so I believe that I just might. Least I’ld be able to have some type of fun, maybe I’ld eat out some bodies eyeballs or something like that. It’s Hell, why not. I’m a Witch, I ought to wind up on the third level. Maybe I’ld see some hot naked chicks & dudes, that wouldn’t be so bad XD

I’m an atheist - I personally don’t believe in heaven or hell. Although, I don’t see the point in going to heaven if you have to still follow all of the Christian rules.

What if you died at a young age and were a virgin- does that mean you have to spend an eternity in heaven single and sexless?

You couldn’t have sex, you could only have sex in the missionary position is if was allowed, women couldn’t cut their hair or dress how they want to, heaven discriminates against homosexuals who are in love, it’s just not a place that I would want to spend eternity if you ask me.

also, heaven has this little rule that basically goes “if your not like us, your not allowed in” thats not a perfect little place the christians make it seem like. heaven isn’t real, at least by the religious terms. there are thousands of heavens, the islamic one of where a guy gets I think 40 virgins or so. that is extremely discriminative against women, if guys get virgins, then heaven is full of pigs.

haha I understand exactly what your saying. If Christians act the same here as they do in heaven, then I think heaven and hell will be awfully much alike. I am agnostic though, because I’d have to KNOW god isn’t real. If someone proved it 100% I’d believe them, but it will never happen. Yeah, heaven is something people use to feel better about death and ensure faith to others in their religion.

Heaven is just the sky. If you want to go there, board a plane.

I agree, the biblical heaven doesn’t really sound like a particularly swell place to spend eternity.
