Does green tea really burn fat/help you lose weight?

My mum started this diet where all you can drink is green tea for a month, and I find it hard to believe it works. :/

Green tea is good because it increases metabolism and helps you suppress your appetite. It can help raise your endurance to work out longer. It has antioxidants that help you burn fat.

To a point it helps…Drinking 3-5 cups a day can help you burn 70 calories, which is 7 pounds a year. Green tea also starts your metabolism, it acts as a glucose regulator stopping your insulin to rise and when that happens your body stores fat, and so green tea stops that from happening. BUT as it may be good for you, it doesn’t solve everything. It should be beside a healthy diet and exercise plan. It will give you a boost in your weight loss but it won’t solve it….Hope I Helped!
