Why does the grading thing goes A B C D F and it skips E?

Answer #1

Hmm, maybe because it went like this A for awesome, B for bitchin, C for cool, D for dummy and F failure :D and E? can’t think what I should put for that one .

Answer #2

our school just has A B C F lol

Answer #3

A, B, C, D are the actual grades. F stands for Fail If there was an E it would be confused with error

Answer #5

Answer #6

Answer #7

I had Es when I was in school. Well no, I never got and E, but the option was there. I’m in New Zealand, but I didn’t do NZ education, I did cambridge.

Answer #8

Answer #10

Answer #11

Answer #12

Answer #13

When I went to primary and secondary school ‘E’ was the failing grade. Not sure when it became ‘F.’

Answer #14

E could be for edumecated lmao and yes i just randomly made that up lol but idk maybe a stands for awesome b stands for better then failing c stands for cant you do better d stands for dumbass and f stands fo failure lmao

Answer #15

We have E in the UK. We skip F instead. Our grades are A B C D E U X. They’re all the results you can get. I think billierae hit the nail on the head by saying that the reason F is used is that it stands for failure, but the grade E isn’t used because an F can be easily changed to an E by cheaters.

Answer #16

If there was an E there would be no need for an F!
