Meeting at Night

The grey sea and the long black land; And the yellow half-moon large and low; And the startled little waves that leap In fiery ringlets from their sleep, As I gain the cove with pushing prow, And quench its speed I’ the slushy sand.

Then a mile of warm sea-scented beach; Three fields to cross till a farm appears; A tap at the pane, the quick sharp scratch And blue spurt of a lighted match, And a voice less loud, through its joys and fears, Than the two hearts beating each to each!

-look into her eyes when you talk to her

-just walk around with her

-tickle her even when she says stop

-hold her hand when you around friends

-when she starts swearing at you tell her you love her

-let her fall asleep in your arms

-get her mad then kiss her

-tease her and let her tease you back

-watch her favourite movie with her

-kiss her neck or forehead

-give her the world

-write her letters

-let her wear your clothes

-when she’s sad hang out with her

-let her know she is important and a part of your life

-let her take all the photos she wants of you

-kiss her in the pouring rain

-when you fall in love with her, tell her.
