Getting A Puppy

Okay, Im 17 years old and my mum said next year 2010 I can get a puppy! I was just wondering..do you HAVE to get insurance for a puppy?…I was thinking I should to cover an accident or something..TOUCH WOOD THAT’LL NEVER HAPPEN…but is it necessary though? Im doing all of the planning now!!

Answer #1

No you don’t need insurance for a dog but if it considered a vicious breed (something I don’t believe in, it is the owners that are vicious/stupid) your homeowner’s insurance might go up.

I hope that when the time comes, you will adopt a puppy and not buy one.

Oh and you are correct, it is… KNOCK ON WOOD. :)

Answer #2

no you dont have to its FAR from necessary and no offense but its knock on would

Answer #3

I think only if you get a pit bull in some places. thats the only dog that I’ve ever heard of getting insurance for.

Answer #4

Not necessary but it is worth the money you could save by having it. I also use Care Credit, you may want to check out there site.

Answer #5

PEOPLE ITS CHERRYXX SPEAKING HERE… ARE THE PEOPLE WHO are SAYING KNOCK ON WOOD FOR AMERICA/CANADA?? ITS ‘TOUCH WOOD’ HERE IN THE UK :)

Answer #6

I would get pet insurance… puppies eat everything and anything so they get upset tummies. so a trip to the vets wil be in need a few times plus if they get hurt you will be covered against massive vets bils. I pay a monthly payment which covers my puppy!! in the uk its touch wood! lol
