Which is better for football- P90x or weightlifting?

My dad just got p90x and i tried the first day yesterday and i am still sore. but i am wondering if it is a better workout for football then weightlifting. i have been lifting for 2 years and im max benching around 250-260 and im squating about 320 and i lift 6 times a week. i am aboout 6’2 175 and i play defensive end. i was on varsity this year and i did pretty good, but i know i could do alot better if i just got bigger. i want to weigh at least 200 by the time football starts. last season there was a guy on my team who plays the same position as me and he had gone through the p90x twice, but he wasnt very good. So which would help me get bigger? p90x or weightlifting? also i set a goal when i started lifting as a freshman (im a junior now) that by the end of my senior year i want to be able to bench more than my dad did his senior year which was 315 which will be hard to beat if i stop lifting.

I just like straight dumbbells, I don’t use a bar on my bench because I usually have no spotter. I would do what works for you, and I would not try to gain 21 lbs to fast, that is not really that good for you.

Insanity is the best… Gives you great cardio.. P90x just gives you kinda big arms
