What could be the cause of my foot "falling asleep"?

For the past two weeks or so, I’ve been getting bad foot cramps the ones that really hurt and make your toes bend etc. And recently every time I sit for long periods of time and get up to walk my foot won’t move,so I get really close to falling. Is is a muscle problem?

Well I drink two 44 oz cups of water daily, if not more, but you have to remember, as you get older your body tends to just say F you.

Answer #8

The cramps are usually caused by lack of adequate exercise, but can also be caused by unaccustomed levels of cold temperature. . The “foot falling asleep” problem is caused by lack of adequate blood supply to the feet, which can be caused by sitting in such a manner as to restrict the blood flow into the lower legs. . I think (particularly if you are heavier than your ideal weight) what you describe is an early warning that you should get more exercise and spend less time sitting around.
. I suggest that you get into the habit of walking around a little every 10 to 15 minutes while you would otherwise be sitting down for prolonged periods, that will stimulate better blood flow and should immediately reduce the likelihood of your foot “falling asleep”. .
