flight nanny or self-employed doll?

I have been given the opportunity to be a flight attendant, the thing is, I might have ZERO love life if I choose being a flight nanny. but if I’d be a business woman, bringing up my own coffee shop with 3 of my friends, I might have financial issues or so as I gamble money towards the business.. what should I do?

Answer #1

It’s hardly gambling if you know what you’re investing in and understand the risks and whether or not they can be mitigated.

Answer #2

If the buiness is what you realy want do that. Risk it could turn out great! And its wid 3 of your friends so at least you will av each other 2 fall back on.

You are young, make some money first, put it away, save as much as you can for the coffee shop, (thousands of $!!!) (if that’s what you really want to do) you don’t have to decide today! (Don’t be overly concerned about your love life, ~ if you have a passion for what you do, do it with all your will, and your passionate lover will find you in your element! and vice versa. You will meet many many people to start your business, one of them may turn out to be your best friend/lover!
A flight Nanny might make very good money, you could see the world, make new friends, gain experience in business and with people in general, by checking out other coffee shops as you travel, find one you would like to use as a ‘sample concept’ for your own, from another town (where you _don’t live), and ask the owner for their advice, people love to talk about their business, ask them how they got started. (you will need lots of green later) and in the meantime, develop a deeper relationship with those friends that want to be your partners in the coffee shop, become stable in all ways, and above all, write a business plan WITH a CPA for the coffee shop. It is your guide to success! But only a guide, as changes will occur along the way, and so when things change, go with the flow, and then add to it to make it better, and more refined! When you fail to plan, the plan will fail! The plan will show you the reality of how a business works! Sometimes (in most cases) it takes about 5 years (+/-) for a business to really get going. Location is huge, as well as the atmosphere or environment that it projects. Like I said earlier, you and your shop must be established, and it must remain consistantly the same. Don’t let the quality go down, if it does, your cusotmers will see that, and your profits will go down along with your customers. Go above and beyond your customers expectations! (Read the book: Customer Satisfaction is Worthless, Customer _Loyality is Priceless! by Jeffrey Gitomer) The food business is demanding! I was in it for 10 years.

Best of luck!

But… hate to throw cold water on this, but read this BBC article:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/7945145.stm

about the increased cancer risks experiened by flight attendants working irregular hours and night shifts…
