How to find a job with a Class 4 Felony?

I am a 42 year old female, who went back to school last year to become a Medical Assistant. I did very well in school - got A’s & B’s, graduated and recenty took the certification test. May of last year I was arrested for possesion of an uncontrolled substance, class 4 felony. Now I can’t find a job. What do I do?

From experience and from advice I have learned to look above for the answers. I asked a very similar question yesterday. The response I got brought tears— get involved with a church, these people truly if you find the right church and show that you really want to straighten your life out. There is always Temp. services, manpower and your unemployment office. Our unemployment office has a program for felons, well they do their best trying to set you up with a job. My felony came in 92 and I still pay for it. I am 45 and I have a hell of a time finding a job but I know there are places out there. The man that mailed me back with some info touched me in a way that immediately lifted my spirits and put my thoughts back into perspective. You are obviously strong so reach for the stars and do not let ANYONE pull you down. We have to fight twice as hard now and there are people that are one sided to try to disgrace us but the fact is, we are survivors. I wish you the best! You could also check with probation offices and govt. agencies. I hope this lightens your load a little, I know just talking to someone else my around my age is nice for me, I have so been in denial of my situation for years. I personally am going to check out some churches—I went to a great one in Champaign Illinois, it was based around felons and addicts.

You can still find a job! But It would be MUCH harder for you because you now have a record! But there is a 50% chance that they might hire you because of your grades. But then again they might think that the drup was your cause for such high grades.

Answer #3

felony-5 five is the lowest grade like a slap on the wrist, F-4 is a high class misdermeaner.3-2-and 1 are high convictions but not unforgiveable. Second chances is what we should base our standards to.
