What is the fastest way I can gain 20lbs?

If someone can post an eating plan or something, that would be really helpful. I’m not sure what to eat for breakfast etc.

Answer #1

The quickest or the healthiest? The quickest way is to eat processed, sugary fatty rubbish. The healthiest way is to eat a high calorie but healthy diet, eg. lots of health, unrefined carbohydrates like wholegrain breads and pasta, brown rice, potatoes, fruit and vegetables. You also need protein for muscle development. Lean meats are good, as is cottage cheese, eggs, etc. A good breakfast could be something like scrambled eggs and wholegrain toast.

Answer #2

You should also eat more often than three times a day. Healthy fats are helpful too - things like oily fish (eg salmon) and avocado are good, or flaxseed oil

Answer #3

Exactly what Danielle has said, though I also suggest contacting a local doctor—I’m sure they’d have a few pointers on a healthy and easy way to gain.

Answer #4

Danielle is kind of right and wrong. Quick and healthy are both possible ways to gain weight, but even if you eat all healthy foods, gaining 2lb.+/week will be fatty.

Processed foods will help you take in more calories because they’re very calorie dense compared to healthy/organic foods you’ll find like rice or chicken. To gain weight, just eat 500 calories over your maintenance intake and you’ll gain weight. Here’s just a small guideline:

500 over maintenance/day = 3,500 calories/week (1lb. gain) 1000 over maintenance/day = 7,000 calories/week (2lb. gain)

So on and so forth. Like I said already, gaining more than 1lb./week will be mostly fat no matter whether you eat healthy or not.

1lb./week = 20lb. in 20 weeks 2lb./week = 20lb. in 10 weeks 3lb./week = 20lb. in 6.5 weeks 4lb./week = 20lb. in 5 weeks

Answer #5

Eat lots of fatty foods !

Answer #6
