What was something expensive left inside your mailbox all day?

My phone , i had forgot it at my sisters store so they ran it by there and put it in there and i was gone with colton .

One Christmas a friend left me a bottle of single malt whisky while I was out of the house.

Much later that night (maybe even the following day) he phoned and asked if I had found it, but I hadn’t, so I went to have a look. Fortunately it was still there, and no one had helped themselves to a shot either, but there was a little note in the bottom of the mailbox saying “thanks for the generosity, but I never drink while I’m on the job”.

I went back to the phone to tell my friend and he just laughed, saying “Strange - I always prefer to have a drink while I am “on the job”.

Well, i’m ordering a new ipod :) let’s hope it comes in the mail tomorrow- and is undamaged :)

Is funny how some online stores require a signature when shipping high priced items. That is aggravating also. Specially if you miss the delivery and is a Friday and it came using UPS ground. You will have to wait until Monday and then sit home and wait for the UPS or FedEx driver.

I check my letter box about mid-morning, so any items left therein are thence collected. More expensive items are often sent by recorded-delivery so I have to go to the Postal Agency to collect them. A few weeks ago, the Post Office’ parcel delivery service delivered a D.V.D./book set on Sunday afternoon (!) and this was left sticking out of our box all afternoon. I discovered the parcel at 1800 hours.
