http://www.funadvice.com/q/stomach_excersizes Walking, running, etc, both with tighten your abs, sides and back. No need for a gym.

If you just stick to crunches, leg lifts, etc, those will work too, but if you have any fat around the middle, you’re better off doing something that involves cardio.

Yoga Pilates etc, you can also do - there are tons of free videos for those on youtube you can put on and follow the movements if you want to do it that way.

Cardio vascular and strength exercises are a main priority. For cardio running, jogging, swimming, skipping, skating, power walking, trampolining are excellent. For strengthening sit ups, plank, women press ups, stretching, captains chair, bicycle exercise, torso track, crunches, etc
