How do I get more self esteem to try out for cheerleading (read more)?

I feel like I’m too fat to be a cheerleader so I feel like when I go to try out I’m going to make a fool out of myself. I was a cheerleader for 8 years then as I got older I stopped because I felt too fat, well I love it so I’m trying to not let it stop me anymore, how do I get more self esteem quickly in only that aspect?

just try exerising until you are happy with the weight you have. im going to guess you have a low metabolism so i would exerise at least 3 times a week. but remember this you are beautiful the way you are God made you special and a certain way for a reason so be happy with how you look because there is only one of you and there always will i hope this hellps good luck:)

I have an extremely low metabolism that’s why I try not to eat a lot. Cheerleading try outs are this upcoming week. I don’t have time for exercising:/ I mean, I know my body isn’t the worst but when I see all of the other skinnier girls who want to I feel horrible and my self esteem is shot so I wont be able to do my best..

Just try out, it could be the est decision of your high school life. I regret not continuing soccer in high school, so don’t make that same mistake.

welll exerising lowers your metabolism you can also get some pills from the gorgery store to lower it too and honestly i HATE being skinny well im REALLY skinny like i look anorixic i wear a 00 sooo yea /: but try to exerise whenever possible after the tryouts start to exerise more and even if you dont get in its ok:) and i would still exerise becasue it will make you feel better and you will have a better self estee,

Well I just want to start off by saying that you are really gorgeous, so there is no reason to feel insecure. Also you look muscly, not fat at ALL! Cheer is a fun sport and it would really suck for you to miss out just because of a lack of confidence. You say you have done cheerleading before, so use that as an advantage! No one will judge you and no one will even think any of those things that you are worried about. In fact, I’m sure EVERY girl trying out is nervous about something; don’t feel like you’re the only one feeling this way. I think it mostly comes down to your desire and the energy you’re willing to put in at tryouts. Try and be bubbly with the other girls, and remember that you are perfect the way you are. Good luck!

Answer #6

Know that you are beautiful and that if you feel that you aren’t the right weight that you need to own it. Confidence is the key that coaches look for. OWN it and have fun with it! Be yourself

Answer #7

Practice a lot . With time you will get better . People will start appreciating you , and your confidence in yourself will increase .
