Elastic bands in mouth

When you brush your teeth and eat I know you have to take them out, but do you have to put the same one’s in you had before or new fresh ones also do you sleep with them on. Thanks

I would put fresh new ones in only because they get nasty and smelly after awhile, but if you dont have any at that time the same ones are fine. Also, you can sleep with them on if you put them on correctly that they wont come off. I would suggest more towards not keeping them on becuase I used to sleep with mine on but after awhile they started to bother me while I slept so I took them off…I have also swallowed them in my sleep. Try it and see how you feel about it.

My son always wanted to have new bands to put on. He always said they tasted funny or like his food? I personally havent ever had braces but he is 9. He wore the bands at first at night, but always lost them so he quit. He also said he got a head ache if he left them on. Again I am going by what my 9 year old told me.
