How can I make my mouth hurt less when I have my rubber bands on?

Since we can’t find the orajel I was wondering if there is anything that can num or get rid of the pressure on my teeth and gums as great or as close as orajel. The wax they give doesn’t do a thing for me.

Answer #1

It helps to stretch out the rubber bands a bit before you put them in so they’te not as tight.

Answer #2

The wax is so they won’t tear up the inside of your mouth when you first get all that metal and wire put in there. There isn’t a way to get rid of the pressure, your teeth are moving and that’s going to cause pressure, if it didn’t then it would be a wast having braces because nothing would happen. You can take Advil to help with the pain on the first few days when it hurts the worst, but other than that you’re gonna just have to face the pain. >,<

Answer #3

But then it won’t move your teeth as fast. XD

well, the rubber bands hurt alot…yes…. but i had some pain killers for it.. i dont think there is a way to subside the pain except dont have any hard or any kind of food that u have to chew.. i had soup and noodles and puddings or custards the whole time i had rubberbands.. that really helps.. and i slept alot.. that helped me forget the pain.. fortunately i removed the rubber bamds in 2 days :)

Answer #5

Answer #6
