What can i do to educate myself more?

Well, I’m 19 years old and I feel like I don’t know as much as I should. So I want to educate myself with more facts. So I wanted to know what can I do? or where do I start?

Answer #1

Facts about what exactly? Just random facts? Why don’t you attend college?

Answer #2

What to do and where to start begins with you. Depending on what subjects intrigue or interest you, that you would want to delve into knowing more about. Beyond that the choices are endless so where to go really depends on what direction your talking about. If it’s just random facts, FA is filled with a whole array of how to and facts advice as do magazines too. If it’s what’s going on in the world or your neighborhood local and global news media ether in the form of newspapers or online can keep you up to date with what’s happening. If it’s nutrition and cooking, signing up for a nutrition and cooking class….etc, etc.

Pick something you like a lot, and become an expert at it! For example if you like copywriting, find out who are the experts in the field, read all their books, follow their blogs, listen to their videos and podcasts. And practice the craft yourself by doing something real world.

Read more. It does not matter what, just read more. This broadens the things you know and your mastery of the language.

Love tv? Watch documentaries more than anything else. TED talks are great.

Be thirsty for knowledge. Find out how things work, the history behind things or people that fascinate you. Never be contented with what is in your head.

You are to be congratulated for wanting to know more. So many people remain willfully ignorant these days.

Rise about that.

Answer #4

Let me follow up with saying that you should use Google Reader and pick 100 blogs to subscribe to on the topics you like. This will keep you ahead of the curve!!

Answer #5

Anyone can self-teach themselves. Self-education relies on the person doing a few things in order to learn. Another way to self-educate yourself is by asking questions. It could open new doorways in learning too. Keep in mind that there are many ways to educate yourself. The process of reading, writing, talking, asking questions and listening, all of them are excellent ways of continuing your educational needs. Moreover, libraries have courses that can aid you in an endeavor you’re interested in.

Answer #6

Few years back I found my self in same dilemma, only that the situation was a little more tense and different. Back at that time I was being pushed by my employers to get a degree so I could be promoted as I did not fulfill the criteria. I searched for the colleges and schools but to my dismay they all were very expensive and time and effort demanding. I then opted for the more reasonable way out and it was “online education” . I gave a prior learning assessment test at ( http://bit.ly/1e1NDt8 ) and got eligible for a work experience degree.. so depending on what are you choices and aim in life then chose wisely what to do in future….
