Answer #1

Yes, you have to worry about it. Your body needs cholesterol, the good kind. You can Google the good kind. The important thing is this. Your body may not beable to handle what those cookies, chips and pastries have in them, cholesterol or not, in time can do you harm. So eat healthy natural foods that are not prepared. The saying is don’t eat anything that is boxed, wrapped, bottled, or canned. Good luck.

Answer #2

Your body needs and produces its own cholesterol. Avoiding dietary cholesterol is a good idea but even if you became a vegan and ate no cholesterol at all you could not take it for granted that your serum cholesterol would be healthy.

As Mr. Oliver points out having no cholesterol does not mean that foods are healthy. Cholesterol free junk food is still junk food. Foods that make health claims like “no cholesterol!” “no partially hydrogenated oils!” “now with whole grains!” etc. may be incrementally healthier than the foods they replace but changing a few ingredients to be buzz-word friendly doesn’t magically make them health foods.
