my family and i every meal we have it MUST have meat, i got cubby thighs from that, if i were to just cut out the meat would i lose weight fast or nah?

Answer #1

no the meat is good for u.. its protien.. its the carbs and calories that cause fat.. u can loose weight by eating just meat. if it has more protien than carbs then ur good

Answer #2

red meat contains iron which is very important for your body, it helps the red blood cells deliver oxygen more efficiently around the body, if your planning on not eating any meat i suggest you find something that can provide you with iron since its essential.

Answer #3

Nope. If you eat veggie Pizza with a lot of cheese, fries and oily chocolate donuts, you can become very fat without eating any meat.

If you replace your meat with healthy vegetarian food, you might actually lose weight. But you should be careful to get everything you need. Healthy vegetarian diets are difficult to prepare.

Best to lose weight is to get a balanced low-fat, low-carb diet. Buy low fat, white meats, such as chicken and fish instead of pork. And get a teflon pan where you can prepare them without floating them in oil. Add vegetables and fruits. Reduce sweets, fat, sugar, and carbs (eat few bread, potatoes, noodles). But don’t remove anything completely from your diet. Especially don’t make taboos on things you like. Just reduce the size of the cake.

Answer #4

plus i recommend you exercise rather than cut down on something completley in your diet, have small amounts of everything. Remeber your supposed to have a balanced diet and meat is part of it.

Answer #5

This is not healthy, Angel. Eating only meat will get you to malnutrition. The human is an omnivore, not a carnivore.

Answer #6

i couldnt have said that any better :P

Answer #7

so what if for like just 3 days or so i’d just eat meat, like chicken and drink water all day .. ? would that be alright and would i still be healthy cuz it just 3 days & i’d take vitamin pills

Answer #8

well yea u cant eat all meat. u have to have some carbs but if the protien has a higher count than the carbs then were talkin. but u cant rule out all carbs.

Answer #9

u can eat cheese too. just make sure the protien count is higher than the carb count. but make sure to get the carbs as well. adkins diet supports this

Answer #10

It’s often the type of meat that people eat which causes them to be overweight, but it would not be meat alone in your diet that causes weight gain. To put it simply eating more than what you burn will cause weight gain regardless of how healthy or unhealthy the food that you eat is. Eating less meat is very good for you as meat causes acidity in your body which breaks down bones in the long run in order to neutralize it, it also causes bad colesterol and that in turns results in damages blood vessels and a bad heart. I suggest that you cut down on the meat for health reasons and eat less and exercise more together with maintaining a healthy diet of fresh vegetables, fruit, whole grains and other nutritious foods. (please don’t go extreme as that type of weight loss never lasts).

Answer #11

No, going vegetarian does not guaranty weight loss or a healthier diet. Potato Chips and Soda are vegan after all. If you eat healthier in general than you might find it easier to maintain a healthy weight but you won’t drop a lot of weight quickly by just avoiding meat.

Answer #12

Not true, healthy vegetarian diets are not difficult to prepare. Just eat a variety of healthy foods like whole grains, vegetables, and fruit and you will be fine. While mankind is an omnivore physiologically we are much closer to herbivores than carnivores. This points to an evolutionary history where most of mankind ate mostly plants most of the time. The ability to eat meat greatly increased the number of areas where mankind can survive but a vegetarian diet is actually closer to the diet we evolved on than the rich heavy meat centered diet most people in the West eat.

Answer #13

No cause everything gives weight you would need to also exercise and proportion meal sizes.

Answer #14

i believe carbs add more weight than meat does.

Answer #15
