Where's the leather whip in Dragon Quest 8?

I want to get a new whip for Jessica, but I need the leather whip to make the snakeskin whip, so can anyone tell me where to find the leather whip? And where is the arena? I keep reading about it but I cant find it. So help would be nice ASAP. Thank you lots.

the whip I don’t know, but the arena is near pickham. Follow the trail northeast and find the red and green building on the right of the road. morrie is on top. go around the right side of the building and up the ramp.

The leather whip can be randomly dropped from a King Squid in Baccarat region, or Terror Tabby in Trodain. You can also get the Scaleskin Whip from a rare drop off an Eveel in the ocean area.
