Dog Aggression

I just recently got a new dog, but he shows aggression towards my husband, especially when he stands up. I need to know some tips to help get him to be more comfortable with my husband?

I’ve shown dogs for ten years and I know quite abit I would let your husband give him his food and take him for a walk he may be scared of your husbands height so ask him to get down to your dogs level and it may make him abit more excepting plus he maby scared of men is your dog a rescue .?

You are the pack leader. I do recommend Ceaser “the dog wisper” I love his books and use a lot of his advice at work when I am dealing with aggressive dogs.

This sounds like fear to me…and since the dog is new, give him time to adjust. It will help, if you let your hubby feed him…and take him for walks (even if you also walk him, or play with him during the day)…walking is a “bonding experience” for a dog (even better than food)…Have hubby do this for 7 days, I think this dog will come around. You might have to attached the leash the first couple of times, but that’s ok…

Remind hubby, that it’s not “personal”…this dog has either been mishandled by a man, or frightened…and he just needs time to find out that all men aren’t bad…
