Mean Chihuahua after spay

Our female chihuahua has been mean since she got spayed. Is this normal?

All my females are now Spayed and I have never had a problem with them becoming mean or aggressive! I don’t think it’s normal! I would talk to your vet about it and see what he or she says!

I would say it is not normal. My female just had a c-section on Friday and by Sat. night she was back to herself, going outside to go potty and rolling on her back to be rubbed.

When did you have her spayed?? Yesterday? Last week? Last year? Antethsia can have a holding effect, for a few days…depending on what was used, and the dog’s own sensitivity to it…

She may simply be tender, so don’t handle her if she’s still got stitches.

um I have chihuahuas 2 girl and 1 boy and my girl one were hurting right after so they were a little grouchy but if she is bieng mean you might want to call the vet just in case : ]

uh I never heard of that one and I work at a shelter, so I say, if this abnormal behavior keeps up then talk to your vet :-)
