Does my mum hate me

Ever since my dad abused me My mum hates me.. She beats me up regular and calls me all of the names under the sun and always brings my father into it even though we dont talk to him. I have my gcse’s she threw a fit over me saying you dont careso why are yoou pretendin to b interested in my work, and today I showed her my work and shes like I dont care… Why she like this. Dont give me no your mum lovees you and shiz because I no she dont like me

Your mom is simply having a tough time dealing with her problems. Although it’s not your fault about your dad, she still sees you in relation to it. Not that she is intentionally blaming you but you are the only thing she has left to lash out at.

Counseling would be good for both of you. Barring that, you might try to find a time when she is in a good mood and see if the two of you can’t sit down and have a mom/daughter talk.

Let her know that you appreciate her and all she has done and does on your behalf. Let her know that you are there for her and are willing to talk whenever she wants.

Keep in mind that you, at 16, and she sort of reside in two different worlds. Things that are important to you may be trivial to her and vice versa. You have to try and look at the picture from her point of view.

I think your mom is angry about the situation and she takes it off on u…just let her know that if she keeps abusing u…physically or verbally you can call the police..if this doesnt stop…just call someone you trust..an aunt or uncle or a school councelor…or just call the police.. im sure they’ll take care of it

It sounds like your mother is angry and has a lot of growing up to do.

If she’s hitting you, you have to report it - she can’t abuse you.
