Does my doctor think I'm pregnant?

So I think I’m pregnant and I went to my doctors today and he was like “lay down so I can feel your stomach and then we will talk about birth control methods for you” so I layed down and such then he gave me a sheet to get tested tomorrow. He didnt say whether he felt something or not… do you think he did? I cant see him just ‘forgetting’ to talk to me about birth control methods.

pregnancy testing is routinely done by doctors for women in the reproducible age group for almost all gynecological complaints like bleeding.this is to rule out ectopic pregnancy, abortion etc that my become life threatening. No doc can know u are pregnant by examining your abdomen. But he can know it by looking at your breasts and examining your vagina.

As a woman, when you get a physical check up, as a rule, doctors will press down on your abdomen to check if there is any abnormalities (ex.: pain, unusual growths, etc). If he thought you were pregnant he would have told you or asked you about it. Most importantly, you should try to feel comfortable talking to your doctor and asking him questions. Next time, try to ask him if you don’t understand something or if you want his help for something. It’s your health after all!

I am sorry but Doctors don’t become Doctors because they are forgetfull. No, touching your stomache (more likely your abdomen) isn’t going to give a pregnancy result. If the abdomen area is very hard then it may be some sign but it could be ovulation when you start menstruation. This is why he went on for you to get test results which then he will know if you aren’t pregnant the next step is to give you different options for birth control. They keep all of their information on charts so they don’t forget. Hope this is clear and it helps you.

Oops. I just read on another posting you made. You “are” trying to get pregnant. I guess you need to tell your doctor that you do want to get pregnant and aren’t looking for birth control. Make sure you are discussing your feelings and what your goal is. I know sometimes Doctors can make you uncomfortable. Maybe you need to find one that will make you fee at ease. Ask your friends about their Doctor.
