Should I go to the Doctor if I think I'm pregnant?

I’ve been having alot of s*x lately and just recently I thought I was pregnant because I haven’t got my period lately. Well, i took a pregnancy test and it was negative, but I still havent gotten my period. I know this is really personal information, but I don’t know who else to ask about it, but everytime my boyfriend fingers me I bleed, but only then. And it doesn’t hurt or anything, so I don’t know what the deal is. But it feels like there’s something in me. I can’t just normaly feel it, but when I feel inside me, it feels like something’s there, that’s never been there before. I’m not sure, and I’m really scared, has anyone ever experienced this before, or possibly know what it is, or if I should go to the doctor?

I will say that every time I have taken a home PT, it has been accurate. I tend to obsess about it and think that maybe the test didn’t work or maybe it was too soon or maybe I drank too much water…blah, blah, blah. But I have OCD so that is one reason why. I was on depo-provera for three years and it worked wonderfully, you get a shot every three months and most patients don’t even have a period anymore, I was one of them. They say that you gain weight on depo, but I actually lost weight and the doc said she was going to make me their poster child for depo to show the girls who complain about the weight gain that it is not always true. Planned Parenthood is a good resource and also your local health department. There are many types of birth control, but depo is my favorite because you can always forget to take a pill. You should at least wait a few weeks before you start worrying and see what happens because if you took an at home PT and it came up negative then chances are you are not pregnant, but get on some birth control sweetie! And make him use a condom because birth control will not protect you from diseases. Also you should not be having sex until you are in a loving, committed relationship that is going to last forever. When you find the one that is right for you, sex will be secondary and love will be primary. Trust me, I know…I was very promiscuous when I was a teenager and I had my heart broken so many times. Guys do not get as emotionally attached as girls do. When they get bored, they move on to someone else. It is not until you find your soul mate and like I said before sex is only secondary to your relationship then you will be happy and in love and then you can think about marriage and babies in that order! I am not talking badly about anyone who has babies and they are not married. I for one don’t feel like marriage is neccessary because I am divorced and I have been with my love for three years now and we are just not ready to get married, but we also are not ready to have a child either, so we use protection or we just don’t have sex. I think that a night of cuddling and kissing and hugging is better than sex personally because the sex can be painful and quick and exhausting, while the cuddling feels good and makes you happy without being sweaty and tired. I used to have more energy when I was younger so I understand why so many young people like to have sex but you can have passion without sex and still feel satisfied.

if you’ve had unprotected sex and missed a period, def see your doctor, and start using some form of birth control, it only takes one time of sex to become pregnant… and std’s are another thing to keep in mind.. if you don’t know your parnters past then think about condoms.

If you’re sexually active, you should be seeing an ob-gyn anyway. All girls are supposed to see one when they become sexually active. So ask your ob-gyn if everything looks ok and have her do a pregnancy test.

Bleeding during sexual activity is common. It’s usually simply a result of getting scratched from a fingernail, the guy being too rough, or the girl not being lubricated enough. However, it can also be a sign of bigger problems. So make sure you let your ob-gyn know about the bleeding.

I take it your not on any form of birth control, and we can assume he wasnt wearing a condom, because you wouldnt be scared out of your mind that you are pregnant! When you say, “you havent gotten a period lately”, do you mean a month, or more? If you can figure out what your normal cycle days are, you can kind of figure when you should have had a period. If you missed it for sure, then you can take a pregnancy test. You may have taken the test too soon. Try again later in the month.

Sweetie, if you are sexually active, you need to start taking more responsiblity in being protected. You wouldnt be in this situation if both of you were taking precautions!
