Does everyone in their life time

Does everyone in their lifetime go through depression ? Or it is just some specific type people

Answer #1

I think everyone will at some point in their life have some sort of depression. How a person deal with it varies, some people can just deal with it and go on, some people need help learning how to deal with it. If you have been depressed for some time now, perhaps you should try to see your family doctor or get in some type of counceling. I know some people consider counceling to be shameful, but there is no reason to be depressed for long periods of time if you don’t have to. There are all kinds of counceling or groups you can go to, some are even free, just the cost of going to and fro, but as a person who has had depression a lot in life, I know if it lasts more than a couple weeks, you should ask for help. We all have to deal with grief and if you are depressed due to grief, it takes time and maybe even a grief group to help with this, but if it is just general depression and you feel it has been some time since you weren’t depressed, then it is time to get help. Really. Best Wishes

Yes, I have. It really sucks. I think it started when my 2 best friends moved away (around the same time) and I was super close to them. They were like my only friends. And now, it’s like everything is slipping away. Nothing is right. My life is just boring. It’s the same thing everyday. Wake up, go to school, come home, go online & watch tv, sleep, and repeat.
