Why don't many doctors enforce the dangers of potential hearing loss from medicines?

Thanks for your response. I read some more on this medication and it does causes hearing loss but only if given at a certain ratio intravenously and I guess it depends on the person and how much you value your senses. For me hearing is very important and loop diuretics like Furosemide are known to cause some permanent damage at higher doses or when combined with certain antibiotics. But some doctors are not aware of the danger because they just want to cure what the medicine is intended to cure. I would rather have them inform me and give me the choice. lol! Then they get mad when I look too much information about potential side effects.

They just don’t feel that it is likely for it to happen, so it’s not necessary to make a big deal about it. They know what they are doing.
