why does my doc. want me to tell my GI abour my kidney and liver?

i have gastritis and thats why i am seeing a GI but my doc wanted me to mention my liver and kidney not to mention i am gonna see a kidney specialist. I dont understand why liver, i am diabetic.. what do i say to the GI “my doc wants me to say i am diabetic, check my liver? i couldnt get a sooner app. so i can go back and ask my doc. so its to late.

GI’s look into that anyway, right? Or at least they did last time I checked. Anyways…I don’t think it’s a big deal. Just tell him what your doc said and take it from there. Maybe your blood work showed something in connection to your liver and he wants it to be checked out to make sure that you are ok.
