Do you see this as a possibility?

A Hypothetical: Time’s Joe Klein: Let’s say the elders of the Democratic Party decide, when the primaries end, that neither Obama nor Clinton is viable…What if they then approached Gore and asked him to be the nominee, for the good of the party—and suggested that he take Obama as his running mate? LA Times: To keep the Obama zealots in the tent, Gore in turn will pick Barack Obama as his vice presidential running mate with the silent understanding that Big Al will … bow out after one term and the then-51-year-old totally experienced Illinois guy can inherit the wind, while Al gets back to his lectures and slide shows for even larger fees as an ex-president - Do you see this as a possibility?

Answer #1

Don’t know for sure but from what I’ve read, Gore certainly has no love for Hillary.

Answer #2

It is interesting however that Gore hasn’t endorsed anyone yet.

Answer #3

Why this obsession with Gore being the Democratic nominee? He’s not a viable candidate, he belongs out of office where he does more for the good of the country.

Answer #4

Absolutely not. First thing is both obama and clinton are extremely viable, and any move like this would surely destroy the party.

While I think Gore would make a great president, and I wanted him to run this time, it can not happen this way. And Gore doesn’t want it, or he would have run. I think he would have easily beaten both Clinton and Obama, and would completely destroy McCain in the general. But I would lose a lot of respect for him if he ever went along with something like this.

Answer #5

The same people who have gone ballistic when some prominent figure is found to belong to some all-male social club are full of excuses for why Barack Obama remained a member of a racist and anti-American church for 20 years.

Answer #6

Gore would obviously pick Clinton as VP over Obama. After all, he was Bill Clinton’s VP.

Answer #7

What is so interesting about it? Bush didn’t endorse McCain until he actually won the nomination.

Answer #8

I can see it but I don’t think its going to happen

Answer #9

this is not going to happen. both clinton and obama are viable candidates, especially obama.
