Is it possible to have another girl's name as the parent on the birth certificate even if you aren't lesbians?
me and my best friend were talkening and i know this is going to sound kind of wierd but we were talken bout teen pregnaceys and how alot of the times the dad will leave the mother before or after its born. And we were wondering if its actually possible to put your best friends name for the other parent of have the other parents rights switched over to your friend just in case somthing were to happen (neither me or my friend is prego its just one of those things that you get into a deep conversation about)
It’s hard enough getting around the law of having two mothers on the birth certificate, in many states … I can guarantee that this is not permitted.
I dont think so. A Birth Certificate is only to state the Mother and Father. If you’re Christian you could have your best friend as a God Mother to that child and if anything were to happen to you then the God Mother could take care and bring that child up (i’ve seen it happen) But apart from that i doubt you can put your bestfriends name on the childs birth certificate.
well a guy doesn’t have to be the biological father to be on a birth certificate to be classed as the childs father right? so i cant see why not x
If the man listed on the birth certificate is the one who will be raising the child as his own, then he’s considered the guardian, at the very least … that’s a far different thing than a woman randomly putting one of her friend’s names on the certificate … which is what she was asking about.
