Do you need to remove the back off a newly pierced earring?

Do you need to remove the back off a newly pierced earring to clean it properly? Because I just had my seconds done today and cant get the backs off of them to clean my ears.. And trying has just made the piercing bleed :( it was done with a gun which is why its so tight

Answer #1

I have a problem. I got my ear done 6 weeks ago and now im trying to remove it but its too tight. what can I do to loosen the back

Answer #2

Just use warm salt water and a saline solution to clean them. Do not move them around or take the backs off. And please never get pierced with a gun again.

Answer #3

Try loosening the back to a comfortable tightness because last time I got my ears pierced the skin closed around the back so loosen it and when you clean it, spin it and make sure you get the cleanser iin there by spinning it and pushing it in and out, it may hurt or feel funky, but try to bear with it or it won’t heal properly and do no try to put different earrings in keep the ones you got them pierced with in, and try using warm salt water and a saline solution as said above.

if you want to take the full coverage of crust off then yes. but I wouldnt do it until later on when its not as swollen and irritated. for now just focus on washing them in the shower and with a Q-tip. once they are a little older and healing well, you can start taking the back off. because I usually crust a lot too and it was building up haha.

Answer #5

nope you dont HAVE to remove the back. Just clean around it if it hurts to much to take it off.
