I don’t believe in either. By the way, if it will make you feel better, you could simply believe in heaven and not hell. Also, it’s important to understand that bible should not be taken literaly. Think of it as a simple fiction book. Obviously I’m not the one to tell you what to believe in, just telling you my opinion.

I have not read the bible, but I know that no one here can be right. Voice your opinions and move along. Heaven and hell is a factor of imagination. Or at last to me it can be what ever you think of. This is strictly my opinion but the only way I think your uncle would have went to hell was if he left a lot in bills or something.

I dont’ believe in either one. It’s a nice thought to be able to look forward to seeing your loved one’s again - but in my heart I know it’s not true. That is why you have to enjoy the time and cherish the memories that you have when you are alive, you only have one chance to spend time with the one’s you love.

The bible is not a good story to follow. It was around back in the day to teach morals, give people hope, and teach right from wrong. It’s nothing more but a story. The bible is full on contradictions, all of the stories have been stolen from other religions, it was written in a time period when the world was completely different and it’s ridculous to follow something that was written so long ago and that is so filled with hate.

Because when my grampa killed himself I like to think he went to heavon..but in the story’s in the bible god sounds kinda mean. Like in the story adam and eve..

The Hebrew God of the Old Testament, is portrayed differently than the Christian God of the New Testament.

That’s why I don’t think it was a good idea for the Christians to make the Torah (a.k.a. the Hebrew Bible, a.k.a. the Old Testament) part of the Christian Bible. Sure there are similarites, but there are also similarities between the Christian, Hebrew, and ISLAMIC god also. But no one is trying to merge the Quran with the Torah and New Testament.

Oh yeah…

As for the suicide thing, not ALL faiths believe that suicide automatically sends you to Hell… so don’t feel obligated.

It would be much better for you to read the whole bible, rather than just a few verses. also, if you will pray, before reading it, asking “God to help you to understand his word, and help you to get to know him as God, he will help you.

Once you truly get to know him, as God and Creator of the Universe, you will love him. But, you can’t get to him thru your head… you have to open your heart, and allow him entrance. The head will keep you from him, the heart will lead you to him.

pray every night for as long and with as much sypathy and meaning as you can and if you pray hard enoph then one day after praying and crying youll feal releived and its b/c you yearning has done good aand you saved a soul … maybe this can help you out or somthing or make you beleive in both—
