Do I have to use permanent dye?

I’ve read about every site on this… and loads of people are saying that if I don’t use permanent black hair dye to dye my blonde hair, then it will go grey. And others are saying they used semi permanent/wash in wash out and it turned out fine.

So basically, my mum has already bought two non permanent blacks that lasts 6-8 weeks. Will this work to dye my dirty blonde black? I know its drastic, I don’t need reminding! :P Do I have to go get a permanent now? Or will it work? :-( I dunno, I really need help on this.

Yeahh, but it’s not going to last that long. Permenant hair dye will last much longer. …but when the black fades, I’m not quite sure how that’ll look. Might look funky, so you might want to go with the permenent.

The Permenant dye WILL fade eventually, you’ll just have to re-dye it but once you start dying it, you will have to keep colouring you’re hair after and it’s hard to dye your hair a different colour once you’ve gone black.

Its a big decision but non-permenant should be fine even when it fades. You will just have to dye it again.

You WILL get roots which is where new hair grows and comes out you’re natural colour but they are easily gotten rid of by re-dying.

REALLY think about whether you want this change.
