What's the difference between skinny jeans and jeggings if they are made from the same material?

I was looking on the Abercrombie website and it said skinny jeans and jeggings were both made of 98% cotton and 2% spandex. What’s the difference between them then?

Answer #1

Skinny jeans are thicker and made with jean material. Jeggings are thinner and tighter, they feel more like leggings than jeans.

Answer #2

jeggings are basically leggings with pockets:)

I’m not quite sure about those Abercrombie jeans and jeggings you saw.. but generally skinny jeans are made of denim (or synthetic denim) and are thinner than normal jeans, just so they are more flexible cause they are made to be on close contact with your skin and need to flex easily with your body. Jeggings are either just cotton leggings with a denim pattern printed on them (sometimes with pockets) or they are made from slightly heavier material than cotton (but not quite denim). They aren’t made the same as actual jeans.

Answer #5

Jeggings are made to look like jeans, but they are much easier to move in and are more comfortable. They don’t usually have zippers, only buttons. and the ones that i own only have back pockets, no front pockets.

Answer #6

Jeggings are thinner.

Jeans are thicker.
