Skinny jeans with heels

I want to wear some gladiator esque heels that have an ankle strap. I want to wear skinny jeans with these, however my skinny jeans would be covering most of the shoe. Is this ok or should I wear a cropped jean? For some reason a cropped jean doesn’t seem like it would look good in my mind.

You can use hemming tape on your skinny jeans to make them shorter for the day
