What is a diet supplement or pill that helps with weight loss (read more)?

Alright, before I start getting ‘eat right and don’t be lazy’ comments, I DO NOT want a quick fix, lay on the couch eating potato chips kinda weight loss. I DO NOT want anything that has a massive amount of stimulants, or messes with scary stuff like my insulin production. What I do want is something that can help get the process going. For example, I hear green tea speeds up metabolism, or if there’s something (safe) that can help my body burn more fat during a workout, then that would be great to. Oh, and I wont order stuff offline, there’s just something comforting in being able to hassle pharmacists or health food store employees about the use and safety of a product. …Anyways.. I exercise 2-3 times a week (depending on if I have time) for anywhere from 1-2 hours (also depending on If I have the time), mostly cardio. I don’t always eat perfectly but I do pretty well and I have tracked my calories (for about a month) and I’m not even eating enough to maintain my current weight so that’s not the problem. I am not looking for a cure all pill, I just wanna give my body a little help doing what it does naturally.

Actually now days they do make capsules and even patches for people that don’t like tea but want the health benefits :P

hmmm…the’res gummy bear vitamins ;) jk jk All I can say is eat LOTS of veggies. Especially salad and broccoli and stuff like that. it will fill you up, so you won’t be as hungry. And if you want like a real pill, you better ask a doctor, NOT just normal people. Doctors and nurses are the only ones who really know what’s okay for your body, and won’t mess up your system.

My doctor would laugh me out of his office if i were to go and say I want something, not prescription strength, not system altering, but just helpful and I have no idea what :P No, funadvice is not a place where you always get for sure, safe and productive answers, but it is a place for ADVICE, to give you an ideas to look farther into, something that MIGHT work for you, and might be worth doing further research on. That’s the whole idea. Of course I’m not going to take someone’s answer and go out and try it without looking into it. But I need to know where I should be looking to begin with.

I to recommend green tea with the other person, and if you drink soda, even diet, stop drinking it. It lowers your metabolism. Green tea will boost your metabolism even while resting and has several other benifits.

Try B-vitamins. they increase the rate of metabolism. but it only works if you eat regularly. so dont starve your self! haha
