How do you deal with wanting to move high schools, but not being able to?

I am currently a freshman in high school and I am considered on of the most popular freshman. I know a lot of people and I don’t like that. I’ve always wanted to be the new girl and the loner girl with only a couple good friends. Having a lot of friends is not a good thing and I just want to start new. I really want to move schools but my mom says no. She says that that is just not an option. I don’t know what to do because I don’t want to hurt these people but I don’t want to be their friend anymore.Help?

You suck it up and deal with it. You dont just get to pick what school you go to when your in public school, it goes by where you live. The grass isnt always greener on the otherside and you would just be complaining when you swiitched and had no friends.

Answer #2

Like Mandyloo said, you deal with it. Your life doesn’t seem all that bad. I actually think it’s a good thing. It’s not fun being the loner new girl if that’s what you’re thinking. It’s already been three months of school and already I’m still the loner new girl. It’s not fun. But if you don’t like these people and don’t want to be their friend anymore then tell them. It’s really not that hard.

Answer #3

Yes you do get to choose because they have the school of choice forms. Many people do it and it is common. Having so many friends involving drama is distracting me from my studies and I am someone who is very concerned and has their heart set on their future.

Answer #4

Katarina, it is that hard in my life. I don’t like…well actually, I hate hurting people. I can’t stand it. I would literally kill to be the loner girl. I know it sounds strange, but if you were me, you would understand.

Answer #7

Seriously? First of all, I am sorry but all these people are not deluded enough to think they are your best friend. They will deal with it if you simply say ‘I am busy’ sometimes and go focus on your work. They will somehow survive without you. I promise, they will go on. Dont blame other people for your choices. You choose to go hang out instead of studying. You choose to chat/text/talk on the phone instead of focusing. And what makes you think anything will be different at a new school? You apparently lack the ability to say no. That’s not going to be different in another school. You’ll just end up in the same situation.

Answer #8

Then break up with your friends and be rude, then you’ll be the loner you want to be. And very few people get to chose which schools they go to.

Answer #9

Wow you know what? I have people blaming me for crap i have never done. Im pretty popular, and i get alot of Players that break my heart. I was the new girl, the loner, and it was good for a while but then u get used to the people and itsthe same exact thing. And you know what else: Im a freshman in high schoool, have 4 family members left, tons of friends that some are backstabbers, struggle with school and drama and players and my dad stalking me.. and im not going anywhere even though my friends keep moving schools. You cant run away Hun, no matter how far you go..or how hard you try
